Natalie and John’s Beautiful Cleveland Weddingwas a major success.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
We started with getting ready photos at Tudor Arms and after the first look we went to do Old Courthouse portraits.
It’s always nice to have a backup for cold weather and rain and the Old Courthouse was the perfect insurance against
those things for their beautiful Cleveland wedding.
Natalie: “Your suggestion to take photos at the Cuyahoga County Courthouse was brilliant, Scott—thank you! It was
a gorgeous and historic setting that we loved.”
After we moved around the Old Courthouse we headed back to Tudor Arms for the ceremony. The cold weather did not
have anyone wanting to do outside photos on this wedding day.
Natalie: “I’ve always dreamed of having my wedding at the Tudor Arms Hotel — it’s so beautiful and has that
breathtaking vintage feel. We loved that we could have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one venue.
Maid of honor Blair has been my best friend since we were three. She now lives in California but came home for six
months to help me plan the wedding! She was truly the glue behind every detail. My wedding dreams wouldn’t have come
true without her. We are forever grateful for all her hard work.
“Our wedding day was truly everything we dreamed of and more. Being surrounded by our family and friends in
such a beautiful, meaningful space made it unforgettable. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make the day special,
especially Scott, who captured the love, laughter, and little moments we’ll cherish forever. We wanted to honor John’s
mother, who sadly passed away in June 2024. We displayed photos of her by our guestbook, placed Cardinals on every table,
and added extra Cardinals at his father’s table — it felt like she was there with us in spirit.
The wedding also had a few surprises too. “As a surprise wedding gift, Blaire arranged for a violinist,
Megan Sullivan, to perform at our ceremony and cocktail hour. It was a dream come true, especially when she played “Kiss
the Girl” from The Little Mermaid as I walked down the aisle — a nod to our Disney World engagement. As a wedding gift to
John, I arranged for the Cleveland Guardians mascots, Ketchup and Mustard, to show up at the reception. John isn’t a dancer,
but they got him on the dance floor! It was a total crowd-pleaser; they even stayed longer than planned and signed our guestbook.
“The DJ and photo booth from Burning River Entertainment were a huge hit — thanks again for that recommendation!
Guests raved about the energy and fun they brought to the party.
“One of my favorite moments was when John and I sneaked away during the reception. He just held me, and
for that moment, time stood still amid all the excitement. We also loved the photos Scott took at the night’s end — especially
when our niece and flower girl shouted, “You guys should kiss!” from the balcony. The candles were still lit from our ceremony,
and it was incredibly romantic.”
I loved their beautiful Cleveland wedding!
Junior bridesmaids Elizabeth and Evelyn watched Natalie and John during their first look.
I’ve seen so many first looks in this staircase but no photos like this one! Always fun to capture something different.
Junior groomsmen Oliver, Thomas, Robet and Jaydee took a video game break before the ceremony.
Junior bridesmaid Evelyn wiped her eye during the ceremony.
Natalie hugged her parents John and Joyce at the end of her first dance with her father.
Mustard and Ketchup made a surprise appearance!
Oliver was spun around by his parents John and Jane.
Parents Kate and Dana and their children Anthony, Madeline and Jack had fun in the photo booth.
As I was leaving I did one more pass through the venue and discovered the couple all alone having a private moment.
I quietly took the photo and left them enjoying themselves. A great end to their beautiful Cleveland wedding.
