Miranda and Corey’s day at Rustic Ridge Wedding Barn was perfect.
Please enjoy, Scott Shaw Photo | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
We started with getting ready photos at the Rustic Ridge Wedding Barn in New Philadelphia before leaving for the St. Clement Catholic Church in Navarre. After that we went to the historic J.D. Define Building also known as the Lowe-Define Building for some outdoor photos with the bridal party. After that we went back to the Rustic Ridge Wedding Bar for the cocktail hour and reception.
Miranda wrote some great words about their day so I’m sharing them all: “Our rehearsal dinner was at Bender’s in Canton for our because Corey’s parents had their rehearsal dinner there nearly 37 years ago. Our wedding ceremony was held at St. Clement Church, the church Miranda grew up in and where her parents were married 40 years ago in September. My maid of honor, Madison, was also married there.
“We chose Rustic Ridge Wedding Barn because we liked a more rustic setting with a combination of simple elegance. Plus we liked the indoor/outdoor space for our guests. We knew the moment we walked in it was the perfect place for us. Our maid of honor, reached out to the owner Thad, a few hours after we got engaged after she attended a wedding there and he agreed to meet with us and host our wedding even though he typically doesn’t conduct July weddings.
“We chose July 12th for our wedding date, a nod to our very first date on July 11th and our shared love of all things 4th of July. Even our wedding colors give a subtle wink to the sparks we felt from the very beginning.
“We wanted our wedding to include our family and friends who helped guide us throughout chapters of our lives. Throughout the day we incorporated subtle notes to make them feel included and genuinely appreciated as we were so grateful for their support from dismissing guests row by row at the ceremony to taking pictures with each table, we valued everyone’s presence.
“We also incorporated family heirlooms in our day including my great-grandmother’s graduation watch and Corey’s grandmother’s sapphire bracelet that I wore. We had multiple family recipes handed down from generations on our dessert table. We also wanted to honor all of our family members who couldn’t be there with us with a special memory table.”
Miranda’s mother Sheri helped her get ready.
Father Marling walked Miranda down the aisle.
Matron of honor Madison’s toast was quite the production!
Best man Taylor also gave a toast.
Corey and his mother Susie did a special dance together.
